Hello there!

My name’s Kev and I am the Chief Bartender at Tiki Lounge and Bar – the only operating classic Tiki bar in Melbourne (that’s in Australia – I have no doubt there are Tiki bars in Melbourne, Florida).

This here blog site will be the online home of Tiki Lounge and Bar.  The website was kindly constructed and beautifully designed by friend of the bar Mike “van” Stevens whose excellent work can be seen at his portfolio site – if you find yourself in need of some illustratin’ or some designin’, his work is some of the best. Over the years I’ve managed to brainwash indoctrinate him in the world of Tiki and he is responsible for our most excellent logo graphic – seen here on a sign taken on a crappy phone camera before the sign was installed:

Anyway, enough ego stroking there, van gets far too much of that from me as it is. We’ll be fleshing out this blog over the coming weeks with more juicy Tiki stuff and explaining a little more about what it is we do. Don’t forget to check out our MySpace page and befriend us there or whatever else it is the trendy kids are doing these day, and be sure to drop into the bar!
